Preserved Plants

In recent years, increasingly popular with florists have so-called "canned" or "stabilized" plants. This is - plants that have passed complex processing, which they contained juice replaced by the "special composition" based on glycerol. Using this solution gives plants life freshness and elasticity. To get the best result, twigs, flowers and leaves are cut off during their maximum development. |

Preserved plants have many advantages compared with the living and dried, as it does not require any maintenance, does not require high light, not susceptible to diseases and pests and does not fade with time. However, they seem quite natural, organically blend with any interior. With canned materials and plants can create unfading green corners in the home, office, restaurant, hotel, bank .... In addition, canned plants are excellent material for all kinds of floral compositions created for the New Year, Christmas, Valentine's Day, as well as for various celebrations and festivities. Use them to make original ornaments for a gift, window dressing, exhibition stand etc.

Preserved flowers, branches and trees are natural plants. In order to maintain their beauty longer need to observe certain rules:

Avoid storage and maintenance of preserved plants in rooms with high humidity, to avoid getting water on the branches, petals or leaves, as well as a container or a container of mothballed plants. Do not allow sharp fluctuations in temperature lead to the appearance of condensed moisture

Keep away from direct sunlight, the proximity of halogen lamps and other sources of high temperature, which can lead to intense evaporation of a solution of glycerin and as a consequence - to premature drying of the plants.

In addition to high humidity should be avoided and the opposite extreme - excessive dryness of the premises, as it also contributes to premature drying of the plants. The optimal range is 60-80% humidity and temperature in the 5-30C. If possible, expose your plants and preserved from drafts, the latter also shorten their life. In suitable conditions, rose petals and buds can maintain its freshness and charm of up to six months, but trees up to 5-7 years.

Unused materials are stored in ventilated plastic bags in sealed cartons, it will permanently preserve their initial freshness and presentation. Do not allow the emergence of indoor plants with canned insects, especially ants: sweet taste of glycerin can sometimes attract their attention. If you need to clean the plants from dust, you can use a slightly damp sponge, whisk for a dust or air flow from a special spray or hair dryer set on very low power and no heating. In some cases, cleaning the trees can use a vacuum cleaner with soft nozzle operating at minimum power.
